Das Ding an sich

Photo collage, ongoing.
What would it be like to see the world as if for the first time, without recognising it? How would it feel to perceive things as they truly are, free from past experiences and preconceived notions? This idea, inspired by Kant's concept of the "thing in itself"—a world that exists independently of our perceptions—serves as the foundation for this series.
I imagine the possibility of forgetting what we have seen and to have the chance to start again reinterpreting our reality. I create images out of real objects and arrange them in ways that avoid recognition and invite to a new sensuous experience. This shift seeks to force the viewers to read them in a different way, to improvise and use mostly their “stomachs” in order to process what they see.
